| Thunder Throne Clark's
solution to mounting the units to a drum throne involved the evolution
of many large, complex, and expensive brackets. The end result
is an inexpensive, easy to mount bracket that speeds up setup and
tear down. We still offer, on special order, the original Unimount
brackets co-designed with Dave Mathews' Ian Kuhn.
Pork Pie Percussion has helped Clark Synthesis understand the performing
drummers' needs and assisted in the design of our Thunder Throne,
which easily accepts our mounting hardware. Designed for comfort,
the seat has three tactile mounting points integrated into the bottom.
Three points allow for versatile mounting locations and for multiple
shakers. |

Easy Mounting

The easiest way to mount the transducers is to purchase the Thunder
ThroneŞ from Clark Synthesis, or a tactile ready drum throne from Pork
Pie Percussion. If these thrones are not used, our Universal Mounting
Bracket (UMB) that comes standard with all the TM units should be used.
Tactile Monitors (Thumpers or Shakers) and Tactile
Ready
There are two configurations available, standard ( TM ) and tactile
ready (TRM )—the difference is in the hardware included. If the
unit is being mounted in a tactile ready throne the tactile ready models
are available to save money. If the application is not to be mounted
to a tactile ready seat then the standard packag is to be used this
assures the musician that they will have everything needed to successfully
install the transducer.
Throne Styles
Clark has two different styles of throne tops: bicycle and
round seat. There are also two different throne heights to choose
from: standard and low-boy stand hardware.
