Rather than serve a long sentence behind bars, Harry Palmer now works as an unwilling spy for Her Majesty's Secret Service.  Palmer's current assignment sends him to Berlin to help a Russian general who wants to defect.  When an arranged escape plan for the general involving a fake funeral goes awry, Palmer must ascertain who has double-crossed him and why.

Funeral In Berlin stars Michael Caine, Paul Hubschmid, Oscar Homolka, Hugh Burden, Guy Doleman and Eva Renzi.  The screenplay was written by Evan Jones based on a novel by Len Deighton, and the movie was directed by Guy Hamilton.  Released theatrically in 1966, the film is not rated with a feature length running time of 102 minutes.
